April 2021 Main Challenge 2nd Reveal - PERFECT and SKETCH

Welcome to the 2nd reveal of our April Main Challenge! This month we ask you to share what PERFECT means to you and to use our SKETCH for your project.

As always, our Main Challenge is based on a word inspiration and a creative challenge. The word inspiration can appear on your project or not but you must show that you have been inspired by it. The creative challenge must be used on your project!

Word Inspiration - PERFECT
Creative Challenge - SKETCH

Helpful Tips For The Challenge

Who or what is PERFECT to you? Is it a person or a pet? Maybe you have experienced a perfect day. Have you had an amazing vacation or have you found the house of your dreams? Maybe you've found that special dress or want to create about your best friend. Share your idea of perfect with us! The creative challenge this month is a SKETCH by our very own Heike Bruhn. You don't need to add a photo if you don't want to and you can flip and interpret the sketch any way you like. We just need to see that you've based your project on this design.

And now let's look at our second DT Inspiration for this month:

AsiaI used the SKETCH to create my layout. I used paper with gray tones as the base. I used stamps from AB Studio to make this project more interesting. I like to use mediums in my projects. I used embossing powder and paints. The word PERFECT reminded me of a black and white photo I had printed for a long time. Isn't that smile perfect?

AudeFor this April challenge, I chose Mintay papers for this SKETCH, and
I used the word PERFECT to illustrate this beautiful picture of my daughters at sea. It was a wonderful moment.

DanaI'm always on the quest for the PERFECT beer to enjoy responsibly. My local offerings are good, but I often have a soft spot for a taste of home. I picked up a great brew from Bell's which is located in my home state of Michigan. The packaging definitely stood out on the shelf, featuring bright colors and fun speech bubbles with common Michigan sayings. I used a lot of pieces cut from the box as embellishments on this page. I followed the SKETCH closely and took inspiration for the theme and color palette of this page from the beer. Cheers!

Emma: It's been a long time since I played with a SKETCH but I loved the playfulness of this creative challenge. As for the word inspiration I chose to use PERFECT in my title because when you have that first sip of coffee (or tea) that's when you are in PERFECT oblivion to what the world around you is doing. It's just you and that hot cuppa.

Heikes: I had a PERFECT day when I created this art journal page. The birds were singing so beautifully and the air outside felt as if it was spring, so I decided to create a pastel color art journal page in honor of the upcoming season. The word PERFECT is glued as a little piece from my dictionary and for the creative challenge I followed the sketch vertically.

SharonIt doesn't happen very often, but my husband, daughters, and I had a PERFECT morning when we took this photo! I enjoyed working with the creative SKETCH to make my layout using papers and embellishments from my stash.

AgaI used the SKETCH and I prepared a layout using 13Arts products (papers, stencil, mediums, transparent foil, chipboard, glitter, ephemera) as inspiration for the April challenge. Sometimes, we wake up in the morning thinking: 'It's gonna be a PERFECT day' or 'It's gonna be a PERFECT project' and then something unplanned comes out. We are surprised, even angry with that, but this is how our world works and we have to chill out sometimes and have fun.

Anna: My take on our April challenge is an art journal entry. PERFECT - for perfect memories. I used the photo from a short weekend trip to Italy two years ago and one day spent driving through the Alps...beautiful views, great day, incredible space, freedom. It was a great trip. And I think that using a SKETCH is also a great idea for art journal pages!

And now for some of those changes mentioned above. There will no longer be Runner Up, Random, or Mystery winners for our Main Challenge. This year we have changed to a Regional Prize structure, whereby there will be multiple Main Challenge Winners, one or more from each Region. The number of Winners/Prizes for each Region is dependent on the number of Sponsors for that Region. Some of our Sponsors remain as International Sponsors but many are now Region specific. It is now more important than ever that you add your NAME and COUNTRY to your Inlinkz entries!

April 2021 Main Challenge - PERFECT and SKETCH

Hello again and welcome to our April Main Challenge!

This month, we are challenging you to use our Sketch and the inspiration word Perfect.  We also have a special offer from one of this month's sponsors, so keep reading to find out what that is!

Is it a person, a pet or maybe it's a perfect day? Have you had an amazing vacation or have you found the house of your dreams? Maybe you've found that special dress or want to create about your best friend. Share your idea of perfect with us! The creative challenge this month is a SKETCH by our very own Heike's AugenBlick. You don't need to add a photo if you don't want to and you can flip and interpret the sketch any way you like. We just need to see that you've based your project on this design.

Design Team Inspiration

And now let's look at our first DT Inspiration for this month:

Kat:   I don't remember when I work following a sketch and was surprised when I finished. I used watercolor and stamps to add details and textures. Papers and accessories make up the composition. The word PERFECT takes on meaning together with "take flight". Each of us is closer to being perfect if we hover slightly above the ground.

LISA OXLEY

Lisa:  When I think about "perfect" things, I feel there really is nothing is more "Perfect" than Mother Nature. Combing hand draw natural elements with ephemera pieces, this journal page attempts to combine elements from the sketch to fit the page.

MARIE JOHANSSON

Marie: I used to love to create following a sketch and was surprised about how much I did struggle with this. I added a scribbled square (not that square if you look at it...) and the used watercolor pencils and stamps to add details and textures. A piece of washi tape added some sparkle and what not to love about the picture, I actually picked it with the word perfect in mind. I love that the lady on the picture is perfectly imperfect. I wrote the title by hand as a last thought. I almost wrote NOT perfect since the layout is just a mismatch of things that was laying on my desk.

OLYA RAGOZONI

Olya:  I created a funny page with funny faces of myself and my husband when we first started dating more than 14 years ago.  The word PERFECT I have written by hand several times. It was the perfect time, carefree and so much fun!

SARAH DORGERE

Sarah:  PERFECT, in my eyes there is nothing more perfect than the beauty of a child. and that's what I wanted to represent on this page. I used AB Studio papers.

VIDHI JADEJA

Vidhi:  I have tried to show a PERFECT " attitude " here for this MAN. Somehow I always likes old B/W pictures and the trend of fashion they had was amazing. They really don't need any 20th Century make up, photography, branded clothes or any App to filter their pictures. They have that in built fashion and attitude in them, Which I love always...

Usually I add old B/W pictures in my Layouts as they speak their own language.  Hope You like this SKETCH and Vintage style of layout.

Heather:  On a walk while on holidays we found this amazing hollow tree. On the walk we all marvelled at nature's PERFECTion.  I flipped the SKETCH so the person in my photo wasn't looking off the page but I followed it quite closely. It was a great sketch!

Elle:  You don't have to be PERFECT to be amazing is the quote handwritten at the top of my page over the perfectly imperfect background in my art journal. I rotated the SKETCH 90 degrees to the left to better fit my art journal page.

JINAL SAVLA

Jinal:  Hola! Here is my inspiration for the month.. I have followed the sketch...Did some Zentangle... it is something I love to do in my spare time... It helps me to gather my thoughts, reflect on positives, calms me down, introspect on my action and just let me PERFECTLY be me.. it is literally my me time hence I have depicted the same in my sketch...

"This is the very perfection of a man, to find out his own imperfection"
