June 2024 Challenge Announcement - Opposites Attract: Use Complementary Colours

     

 Happy new month!  We hope you enjoyed our May challenge - we certainly enjoyed seeing all your entries!  

This month is all about opposites attract and what we mean by that is to use Complementary Colours!   Complementary colours are those colours that are opposite each other on the colour wheel.  Here's a great free tool from Canva that helps you to pick your own two complementary colours for your project.   Canva Colour Wheel  Just select "complementary" from the colour combination box and click inside the colour wheel till you find your perfect colour pairing to use on your page. 

It is our hope that we can continue to use our word of the year in all of our pages this year just to keep that fresh in our minds, together with the monthly prompts or instead of them. The choice is yours!

ELLE - EOTC

I used the Canva colour wheel tool to select magenta and lime green for my complementary colours.  I used acrylic paint on the background and some
co-ordinating gel prints from my stash. The green and pink made me think of spring in the garden so I added flowers and quotes about nature.

This month I have made another page in my junk journal, this time inspired by the image of the combi van.  I wish I was on holiday right now and so all of these travel-inspired words from this Carabelle Studio stamp really spoke to me.  More photos and details on my blog.

My opposite colours are green and red. I used sprays, acrylic paint and a few stamps to make my background. It always makes me happy to create something new on a blank page.
