2021 Design Team

I am a scrapbook and mixed media artist living in the USA.  I have had many hobbies over the years, but art is the one that really gives me satisfaction. I started my adventure in art with scrapbooking, as a way to preserve memories, after the birth of my first daughter. I have expanded my areas of interest since then and have grown to love the creative outlet that art provides. I like to work with a variety of products on my projects. I frequently find inspiration in music, poetry, and pop culture. When I'm not crafting, I enjoy cooking and baking, reading, listening to music, and spending time outdoors with my family and basset hound.

Hi everyone! I'm Elle, currently living in the wilds of Scotland, UK. There has always been paint and paper in my life for as long as I can remember, and I have been drawing since I was a kid. I am a journal artist mostly, with some cardmaking, tags, ATCs etc thrown in the mix.  I'm inspired by many things and I don't feel like I have a particular style. I like to use as much recycled products as I can, anything eco-friendly, and I love all kinds of paint but especially watercolour!  I like to make my own supplies, handmade paper, inks, paints, stamps, stencils, re-purposing and reusing items from around the house or from nature.  I am very messy and usually covered in some kind of paint or ink. I also like cats, nature, gardening, baking, fibre crafts and books and I am usually listening to audiobooks in my studio. I have been blogging since 2005 and you can find me at Empire of the Cat, where I share my arty adventures.

Hi! My name is Heather McMahon and I’m from Australia. I live on a small farm with my husband. My two university-aged kids often come home too. I’ve been papercrafting for over 20 years and I never tire of it. Ok, I confess, I’m obsessed! I love the way papercrafting keeps evolving and that anything goes when it comes to styles, products and creativity.

At the end of 2020 I went one step further and started up my own papercraft business with my daughter. The business is called ArtStacks and we’re thrilled to be a More Than Words sponsor too.

I also love to travel and have no end of travel photos to scrap!

Hello, nice to meet you here on the More Than Words blog. My name is Heike, aka Heike's AugenBlick. I live in the oldest city of The Netherlands. I am happily married with the love of my life, and together we have four grown children,
one son-in-law, and three grandkids. My passion for scrapbooking started in 2010. What started with mini books, cards and tags, has spread rapidly into art journaling, and 30cm x 30cm layouts. I have different styles from romantic to abstract... everything can be found in my art work. If someone had told me 10 years ago that my world would revolve around stamps, stencils, bold colors, and my handsome hubby (my biggest supporter), I would have laughed at him! During the last few years, I have designed for various design teams. At the moment, besides More Than Words, I still design for the company Scrap FX Australia. In September, 2019, my handsome husband and I started our new living project, "Tiny Living". That means I don't have my own scrap room anymore. My hobby equipment is now distributed over our tiny house. My most creative hours are in the early morning, after my morning routine with TaiChi exercises. In addition to my creative hobby, I love cooking, baking, gardening, reading, and dancing with my handsome hubby. I look forward to designing with the new team from More Than Words. Let's fill 2021, and many more years, with creative projects. Let's create beautiful moments and memories together. With friendly, creative greetings, from The Netherlands. Heike

Hi! My name is Priya Mishra. I live in India with my husband and 7 year old son. My journey to scrapbooking and mixed media started 2 years ago and I'm now madly in love with it. I don't have a particular style and I love to experiment with each new project. I also love to read and travel. I am so happy and excited to be part of the amazing More Than Words team!

Hello!  My name is Aga Mirkowska.  I live in Wroclaw, Poland.  I work as a scientist but in my free time I'm a crafting-geek.  I love scrapbooking and mixed-media art.  I enjoy making layouts and smaller projects like albums, cards, and of course art journaling.  I love experimenting with colors, textures, layers and media.  It's very important for me to show emotions and hidden meanings in my projects.  It's a great pleasure for me to be a part of MTW DT and I hope you'll enjoy my inspirations.

Hello! My name is Anna Iwanowska, and I live in Poland. I started my adventure with scrapbooking, cardmaking, and mixed media, 12 years ago. Even before that though, I was creating handmade jewelery, and crocheting, etc. I'm also interested in photography and graphic design. My "real" work is not very artistic - I work in a small software company as client support and and tester. My work makes me happy, but my creative soul needs more space for growing and blooming. That's why an artistic hobby makes a lot of sense for me. I'm a big fan of experimenting, searching for new ways to express myself, and learning new things. My style changes as my favourite techniques do. For sure, though, I love mixed media and playing with paints. Words and hidden meanings are very important to me, so joining the More Than Words team makes my heart sing! It's going to be a beautiful adventure!

I live with my family (husband, 3 year old daughter Lila, two dogs Maniek and Charlie) in Wroclaw (in Poland). I’ve been playing with scrapbooking for about 8 years. I started with cardsmaking, then there were albums, some home decor. Now I'm in love with mixed media.  I use various techniques, types of arts, different topics. I like working with flat surfaces (like canvas, or not regular shapes), on 3D chipboard, boxes. Recently I am trying myself in Journal Pages. During my free time I love reading books and watching TV series (mainly fantasy and crime documentaries)

My name is Emma and I'm from the Clare Valley in South Australia.  I have two teenage boys and a hubby who support me constantly.  I have been scrapping for approximately 16 years and my style has definitely evolved.  I love mixed media and love to get messy.  I'm inspired by images I find on the internet and embrace the feel, colour and mood of the image which then translates into my designs.  You could say I live and breathe scrapbooking art.  I hope to inspire and be inspired.

This is Jinal Savla Gangar from Mumbai, India.  I am a little situationally introverted person however extremely passionate about crafting.  I have been crafting for three years now, started my journey with scrapbooking and papercrafts, and through this was introduced to mixed media - because of its versatility I immediately fell in love with this art form.  Usually I enjoy all styles, however my favourite is Vintage and Shabby Chic.  Along with crafting I am also a counselor and Arts-based therapist, working with special needs children. I hope I will be able to inspire you to create along with us and participate in the challenges.  Much love to you!

My name is Kasia - Kat Paleczny and I live in Poland.  I started my adventure with my favourite mixed media style 3 years ago.  I work professionally infecting the young generation with my passion.  I love to experiment, look for new ways to express myself and learn new things.  My style is changing so I'm sure everyone will find something for themselves.  I love to read but I do not have enough time for this.  I am so happy and excited to be part of the amazing More Than Words team!

Howdy folks. I’m Lisa Oxley, aka Scrapwitchlisa. A mother to two 20 something girlies and partner Paul for 28 years. I’ve been creating in different forms for over 30 years and discovered paper crafts 20 years ago. Mixed media scrapbooking lead me on the path to find art journaling in 2012 and I have slowly formulated my creative style since then. Over the years I have created with various design teams and have contributed to national and international paper craft magazines.  I’m so happy to be here to create along with the MTW team.

My name is Marie, but in the Scrap World I´m known as Mison. I live with my partner and my two children, in a small village the North of Sweden. I work as a Intensive Care Nurse (with Cardiology as speciality). My main interest is Scrapbooking. Since my early teens I´ve been creating cards (drawing, painting etc.). In 2004 when my son was born I found a lot of beautiful colored papers and embellishments in a craft shop, bought some and that was the beginning of it all...  Now I spend as much time as possible at the scrap table, and it has developed to be my biggest hobby, as well as a big part of my life. For me scrapbooking is a way of contemplation. As I have a job that can be rather stressful, and two intensive children, scrapbooking gives me time to relax and run away from the "real world" for a while. It gives me a chance to use my creative nerve, and focus on my needs for a while. My "style" is colourful and playful. I often use a lot of papers and embellishments. I try to have the photo in focus, and to reflect the feeling of the photo in the layout. I also makes cards and altered projects. If I would call my style something - well maybe Playful Punk Chic? (if i do a romantic layout, I can´t help giving it a playful twist...)
