Like Veana, we are reliving our favorite vacation memories through our art this year while travel is restricted. Welcome back to the 2nd Reveal of our NOVEMBER Main Challenge

at More Than Words!

This month we are asking you to add LEAVES to your projects!

Our Main Challenge is based on a word inspiration and a creative challenge.

HELPFUL TIPS FOR THE CHALLENGE

Which SEASON is special to you? You could create about the joys of summer, the colour of fall, the delights of winter or the wonders of spring. Or maybe you love every season. Of course, there are other meanings for season too, both literal and metaphorical. We’d love to see what the word inspires you to create! We need to see in your project how our word inspired you. If it isn’t obvious in your work, then please explain it in your post.

Changing LEAVES are one of the obvious symbols of the passing of the seasons and we want to see some on your project!

ELLE WILSON

Elle: I made an art journal page for this month's project using a gel printed background using autumn colours and leaf prints, some real leaves from the Japanese Maple in my garden, some autumnal word stamps and a quote from one of my favourite books - Anne of Green Gables!

ANNA IWANOWSKA

Anna: I decided to make an art journal spread. "Seasons" theme made me think about how strange this year is. It's a other season I'm spending mostly at home... But also this year gave me some great experiences and I feel no regrets. More even - I feel grateful. I'm accepting the changes and trying to see bright sides in every situation.

DAISY RAMSEY

Daisy: I love autumn because the leaves take on bright and warm colors. It creates beautiful landscapes. In the area where I live, it’s very woody. It is nice to walk there to admire the trees. For the creative twist I used diecuts of autumn leaves from Les créations Édith Cloutier

KATRIN MERAGLIA

Katrin: Autumn inspired this project, I create this sculpture with modelling paste, fiber paste and recycled leaves and flowers from other projects, this is an amazing season my favourite I hope you like this.

ROSALIE DUKE-STANLEY

Rosalie: My take on the SEASONS and LEAVES. Living in Western Australia, to see the beautiful colours of the seaons, we travel to the South West. This is a picture taken near Nannup where every Autunm there are these gorgeous yellows and oranges across the hills. I have added chipboard leaves.

PRIYA MISHRA

Priya: Autumn leaves are my favorite and I love what Autumn teach us. Do for this month's challenge I chose to add a Quote -To everything there is a "SEASON" and for creative part I used some leaf moulds and some fussy cut "LEAVES "

NOVEMBER 2020 Main Challenge - SEASON and LEAVES

Welcome back to another Main Challenge at More Than Words!

This month we are asking you to add leaves to your project!

Our Main Challenge is based on a word inspiration and a creative challenge.

HELPFUL TIPS FOR THE CHALLENGE

Changing LEAVES are one of the obvious symbols of the passing of the seasons and we want to see some on your project!

And now let's look at our first DT Inspiration for this month...

HEIKES AUGENBLICK

Heikes: No festival season 2020... is my title for this challenge. I created a scrapbook page in mixed media style with a photo from "Thirty seconds to mars". Unfortunately there was no festival season this year because of the pandemic. I am happy that I have Spotify, where I can hear my favorite music. It doesn`t replace the feeling and joy of a festival. I know that of course... But it`s better than nothing!! For the creative challenge I create my own leafs with watercolor from 13@rts which I attached to my focal point. I also stamped with a leaf stamp on my background.

CECILIA ZERTUCHE

Cecilia: I love autumn with gold's beautiful colors! It's a wonderful SEASON....beautifully!

DANA TATAR

Dana: A new SEASON begins, but my footwear stays the same! I'll be wearing my flip flops until the snow touches my toes. I embellished my layout with colorful vellum and chipboard LEAVES.

HEATHER McMAHON

Heather: My inspiration for this came from the photo of a stunning sunset we saw once. We were in Cres, in Croatia, which has beautiful old buildings decorated with old shutters so I added gorgeous shutters from ArtStacks, my new business which will be launching soon. The SEASON was summer and I added LEAVES cascading down the side of the shutters.

ANASTASIA TVERITNEVA

Anastasia: Autumn is a fabulous SEASON, so bright and cozy! This fall, the weather allowed for long family walks and rustling LEAVES underfoot. The layout for the November challenge has developed harmoniously. To create the LEAVES, I used stamps and paper cutting elements. Lettering "SEASON" added by self calligraphy.

SARAH DORGERE

Sarah: fall is my favorite SEASON and that's why I chose to scrape a collection of paper on this theme. I love the colors this season. whether it is the falling LEAVES, the weather which is rather pleasant and especially the seasonal vegetables such as the pumpkins that I love❤️

JOLANDE van OOSTERHOUT

Jolande: Lately I have been very busy with painting, it is so wonderfully relaxing, just like this SEASON. Autumn has beautiful "Indian summer" colors which I have tried to bring back in this painting. The LEAVES have gotten the full colors of autumn.
