On this festive Easter Sunday, our Design Team reveals a second
set of inspiration for you. Below we share how they interpreted our
Main Challenge - EVERYDAY & BUGS AND BIRDS.
Our Main Challenge is based on a word inspiration and a creative challenge.
Word Inspiration - EVERDAY
Creative Challenge - BUGS AND BIRDS
Nature is very soothing and healing, and this month
we are encouraging you to immerse yourself in it!
HELPFUL TIPS FOR THE CHALLENGE
We do many things in our EVERYDAY lives that we barely think about. It’s time to get those memories recorded in your art! What is something you do in your everyday life that you would love to look back on and remember later? Or is there something special you do every day that you’ve never thought to create about. Here is your chance! We need to see in your project how our word inspired you. If it isn’t obvious in your work, then please explain it in your post.
The creative challenge is easy – just add some BUGS and/or BIRDS to your project. You can add just one or as many as you like.
Please check out ALL our challenge rules in the RULES tab above.
Now let's see what our fabulous DT has come up with,
inspired by the EVERYDAY & BUGS AND BIRDS Main Challenge!
JOLANDE: For me, I look for BIRDS EVERYDAY... especially eagles and other birds of prey. I think that when I see one my day is good. This picture is made by a good friend of mine Heidie Mulder. She takes lovely pictures.
YULIA: For our April Main Challenge, I made the "Smile Everyday" layout. EVERYDAY brings us joyful events - love of loved ones, creativity, the sun after a cloudy day, flowers, nature or a meeting with amazing people. The photo is from the workshop of my beloved Master Dorota Kotowicz. I still remember this wonderful day with a smile:) Butterflies are emotions that creativity gives us. I used them to fulfill the creativity part of the challenge - BUGS.
HEIKES: Something I do "EVERYDAY" is my Tai-Chi exercises. The slow stretching of the muscles and tendons, the conscious breathing... For me, it is part of a healthy life. For the creative challenge "BUGS and BIRDS" I have decided to stamp lots of bugs on my background.
CECILIA: EVERYDAY we have the chance to do small things with great love. Especially now, it is a great time to interact respectfully and carefully with others as nature does! I have created an altered wooden box lid from a wine box and added dragonfly and bee BUGS to it.
DANA: I try my best to enjoy the beauty of nature everyday. I can usually spot a bird nest on my daily walk. However, it is not EVERYDAY that I see a hummingbird nest. I had to document this special find, which happened during the excursion I took while vacationing in the Dominican Republic. I used patterned papers that featured BUGS and BIRDS on this page. I just love things with wings!
ANASTASIA: Getting older, we forget to pay attention to the EVERYDAY little joys. Personally, my children help me to remember them. With them I again began to deeply inhale the smell of flowers (I need to show an example), collect pebbles in the garden, walk through puddles in rubber boots, inhale fresh air in the park, and admire the stars at night! Appreciate your time and those everyday moments. My canvas is about my everyday moments and I have embellished it with both BIRDS AND BUGs. The paper collection is "Beauty in Bloom" by Mintay papers.
SABRINA: Sab here with a new, great challenge! This is very perfect for me! I love so much, nature and its creatures, little and big, BIRDS AND BUGS! Then spring is coming and I hope that this year which has started badly, can be better! And I say to you...take your time...EVERYDAY ♥️
HEATHER: I visited the Spider Market in Cambodia. It certainly wasn't your EVERYDAY market! There were all sorts of BUGS for sale, like crickets and cicadas, plus plenty of huge tarantulas. Everything was for eating! The critters were usually deep fried and flavoured with spices. The tarantulas in these photos were still 'fresh' (meaning well and truly alive!) and definitely creepy!
Our design team has shared their EVERYDAY inspiration
with you using BUGS AND BIRDS.
We hope that they will have inspired you to play along.
