Special Guest Spotlight on
ANASTASIA TVERITNEVA

We are a bit early on this busy month with our Guest Designer Spotlight.
Take note that our Mini Challenge will be early as well.
Come back on the 16th to check it out!

Our special guest designer this month has been wowing us with
her gorgeous creations the last few months, and we are absolutely
thrilled to have her join us to inspire you using our December challenge!
Let's learn a little more about Anastasia through her own words:

My name is Anastasia Tveritneva and my pseudo on YouTube is 'Asia Koliasina'. I'm from Russia (with love), but the last several years I have lived with my family in New Jersey, USA. I'm a book specialist by education, so paper and paint have always surrounded me. I've tried different styles and projects in scrapbooking, but lately I really like pop-up and layered designs as well as mixed media. There is so much passion and desire in me for mixed media! Making video tutorials for YouTube is one of my strengths. I have had a scrapbooking channel for more than 4 years and have gained a lot of experience during this time (and 12,000 subscribers).

You can visit Anastasia at the following links:

Here is a reminder of our December Main Challenge
REJOICE & ANYTHING GOES
followed by Anastasia's gorgeous creative interpretation.

Read below as Anastasia describes in her own words how she was inspired
by our word and how she chose to incorporate our creative challenge:

I REJOICE in art! Nothing brings me greater joy than to create and share with you my process of creating. The word 'rejoice' can be found on my canvas.

The first idea that came to mind when I saw the December challenge board and the ANYTHING GOES creative challenge was to use a palette and my old brushes in my work. In the process of selecting materials, I found playing cards, and the famous Queen of hearts became the starting point in the colour combination of my work - yellow, red and black. Then came a I played with layers and textures to create my canvas, as I love to do. My imagination was as free as never before.

Thank you MTW for the inspiration for such an amazing task!

You can see a video tutorial on my creative process on my YouTube channel.

Let's take a look at some details:

How brilliant is Anastasia's project!?
She has once again outdone herself and has succeeded
in creating a masterpiece of colour, uniqueness and pure artistic genius!

A big THANK YOU to Anastasia for joining us as our Special Guest!

We hope that you will take inspiration from Anastasia's creation
and that you will play along with our December Main Challenge.

You have until December 31 to link up!

Special Guest Spotlight on
KARINE SMOUTS

We are so pleased to introduce to you another fabulous guest
here at More Than Words. We have been admiring her beautiful work for a while and we are happy that she has agreed to join us!

Let's learn a little more about Karine Smouts through her own words:

I am Karine, aka Smokascrap, and I live in Southern France, in the nice town of Martigues, which is also called 'the little Venice of Provence.' I have been scrapbooking for 10 years and particularly like inks and mediums. I don't have a scrap style (well, not that I know of). I really like to get inspired by a sketch; it's often the starting point of my work. Then comes a photo that I find inspiring and voila the rest follows on its own. I mainly do layouts, canvases and cards. I am so happy to be the guest designer this month at More Than Words and I want to thank all the MTW team for this wonderful opportunity!

You can visit Karine at the following links:

Here is a reminder of our November Main Challenge
followed by Karine's gorgeous creative interpretation.

Read below as Karine describes in her own words how she was inspired
by our word and how she chose to incorporate our creative challenge:

For me the word SUCCESS represents the work and the daily efforts to make a dream come true. I illustrated this challenge by focusing on the 'principal dancer' of the Ballet of the Opera National de Paris, Hugo Marchand. 'Principal dancer' is considered to be the supreme title in the hierarchy of dance, and to achieve such a rank takes a lot of dedication and hard work. For Hugo to hold this title is a freedom and a responsibility at the same time.

I represented the keys to success with words like 'mental', 'competition', 'ambition', 'generosity', etc. And of course, I also added a metal KEY embellishment to incorporate the creative challenge.

Let's take a look at some details:

What a splendid and stunning project!
We couldn't have picked a better subject matter to define the word SUCCESS.
And Karine sure demonstrated that she holds the KEY to creating a gorgeous layout!

A big THANK YOU to Karine for joining us as our November Special Guest!

We hope that you will take inspiration from Karine's creation
and that you will play along with our November Main Challenge.

You have until November 30 to link up!

ANASTASYA TISEVICH

We have one fabulous guest designer to introduce to you today,

I have one big love and passion in my life, and it is scrapbooking. I love all styles and materials. I can create complex canvases and simple cards in the same day. I think it's an incredible form of art in which I can express my creativity fully. Here is a reminder of our October Main Challenge
COSTUME & BLACK BACKGROUND
followed by Anastasya's gorgeous creative interpretation.

Read below as Anastasya describes in her own words how she was inspired
by our word and how she chose to incorporate our creative challenge:

For this fabulous challenge, I created a textured canvas. This project is about a lady who has a main passion in life. Her passion is 'haute couture' fashion, so of course COSTUMES are what she dreams, designs and creates!

For the creative challenge, I created a BLACK BACKGROUND full
of different textures and added bright touches of white gold
and rose gold using Finnabair's metallic waxes.

Let's take a look at some details:

What a wonderful interpretation of our word COSTUME! We also absolutely love the pink and red hues that Anastasya chose to combine with her BLACK BACKGROUND. It is a stunning project that we are sure will inspire you to get creative too!

A big THANK YOU to Anastasya for joining us as our October Special Guest!

We hope that you will take inspiration from Anastasya's creation
and that you will play along with our October Main Challenge.

Special Guest Spotlight on
WILMA VOERMANS

It is the day at More Than Words where we introduce to you
a very special designer and MTW participant who has caught our eye
and captured our heart with her recent entries!

Let's learn a little more about Wilma Voermans through her own words:

Hello! I'm Wilma and I am thrilled to be guest designing for MTW!
I was addicted to scrapbooking for many years, but my first passion is collage and that's what I do most, next to painting. Now and then, however, I just have to do a layout when I find a good picture and blog challenge that inspire me. The picture to me is always the most important element on the pages that I create. Inspiration starts from there. To have more time for my creative and personal life, I have stopped most of my social media. It was such a relief. However, I still have a blog just for scrapbooking because I will always be a scrapbooker at heart.

You can visit Wilma's blog right HERE.

Here is a reminder of our September Main Challenge
ORIGINS & YOUR COUNTRY COLOURS
followed by Wilma's gorgeous creative interpretation.

Read below as Wilma describes in her own words how she was inspired
by our word and how she chose to incorporate our creative challenge:

I was born and raised in Amsterdam - they were great years in the 70s.
I will always stay Dutch at heart and stay true to my ORIGINS although I have now lived in Switzerland since 1980.

The COLOURS of the Dutch flag are red, white and blue,
which you will find on my page.

Let's take a look at some details:

We absolutely love the boldness yet elegance of Wilma's layout.
It is truly an amazing piece of work and very representative of our challenge!

A big THANK YOU to Wilma for joining us as our September Special Guest!

We hope that you will take inspiration from Wilma's creation
and that you will play along with our September Main Challenge.

here at More Than Words. She has been wowing us with her talent
for a few months and we are happy that she has agreed to join us!

Let's learn a little more about Marie Sabatier through her own words:

Hello! I am Marie from Lyon in France. I am totally delighted to be the special guest designer for this month of August, and I thank all the fabulous team and sponsors of More Than Words! Scrapbooking has become a real passion for me about 10 years ago, but for the last 2 years, I have come across this wonderful online community full of inspiration. I have followed many scrappers through blogs and social networks, and I discovered a stronger passion. I like all styles - I let the photo choose what style I will create in. I especially love chipboard and flowers!

You can visit Marie at the following links:
BLOG  -  FACEBOOK  -  INSTAGRAM  -  PINTEREST

Here is a reminder of our August Main Challenge
followed by Marie's stunning creative interpretation.

Read below as Marie describes in her own words how she was inspired
by our word and how she chose to incorporate our creative challenge:

My inspiration from the word HAPPINESS is represented on my page by the birthday of my little girl Mia and her cousin born on the same day of July 9, 2015. What happiness we felt on that day in our family and we love to celebrate it every year since, as we did just recently this year.

For my take on the SKETCH creative challenge, I integrated 2 photos in the center and I added special words and my french title 'Choisis le bonheur/Choose happiness' in the middle as on the sketch.

Let's take a look at some details:

WOW! How so very special that these two adorable cousins share the same birthday!
It will be for sure a great source of HAPPINESS for them both for years to come. And Marie did a fabulous job at documenting this special event with this beautiful take on our SKETCH.

A big THANK YOU to Marie for joining us as our August Special Guest!

We hope that you will take inspiration from Marie's creation
and that you will play along with our August Main Challenge.

followed by Dots to Lines' stunning creative interpretation.

Read below as Dots to Lines describes in their own words how they were inspired
by our word and how they chose to incorporate our creative challenge:

The word inspiration DISCOVERY instantly made me, Aditi, want to scrap myself
and create something that represents my own journey. The past one year has been
a period of discoveries. For the background, I've used watercolour inks
and this technique in an integral part of the creative journey I have been on.

I've used chipboards, flowers, resin frame and doodling pens,
all from my OLD STASH, for the creative challenge.

followed by Reniferove's fabulous creative interpretation of it.

new

Read below as Reniferove describes in her own words how she was inspired
by our word and how she chose to incorporate our creative challenge:

I got very inspired by the word FAVORITE and decided to go in search of one of my favorite layouts to SCRAPLIFT. I remember that I really loved how this layout turned out when I created it and was quite proud of the result.

The original design was in warm colours, so I decided to lift in cooler, darker tones. I used a similar photo on the new project. I also used the same kind of flowers and arranged the elements in a similar way. I created both background using the same techniques with a mist and a stamp. While the first project background is in gold, the second is in silver. It was nice to come back to this project.
The lift will look great on my wall next to the original!

Let's take a look at some details:

What a stunning SCRAPLIFT layout by Reniferove!
It's easy to understand why the original one is her FAVORITE
as it is gorgeous all on its own, but the new page
complements it beautifully and is also just as fabulous!

A big THANK YOU to Reniferove
for joining us as our June Special Guest!

We hope that you will take inspiration from Reniferove's creation
and that you will play along with our June Main Challenge.
