We are thrilled to have 5 very talented artists from the 49 and Market DT
showcasing their fabulous products on gorgeous creations
that have been inspired by our July Main Challenge

ANGUREE VAN RENSBURG
Anguree: I was inspired by this photo of my husband and I walking on the BEACH. We asked our wedding photographer, Jan Theron, to do a shoot to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary. Since our wedding photos were also at the beach, it was the perfect setting. We love taking walks along the ocean when we are on holidays and gathering SEASHELLS, just like the ones I've used to decorate my page. I think this photo illustrates the free and beautiful childlike happiness we still share.

Anguree, who is also one of our More Than Words designers, has combined a gorgeous background paper from the Sweet Reflections collection, as seen below, along with Burlap Ribbon and lots of flowers including Garden Seeds - Bluebell, Blossom Blends - Linen and Botanicals Potpourri - Snow.

HETTY HALL
Hetty: My inspiration for this layout came mainly from the fantastic BEACH themed papers from 49 and Market. Combined with the criteria for this month's challenge, the gorgeous beachy colours and of course the SEASHELLS chipboard, this layout came together pretty easily.

On her beautiful page, Hetty used the Sand and Sea paper collection and decorated with 6x6 Archive Board - Escape, coordinating chipboard designed by
The Dusty Attic to go along with the 49 and Market collections.

JULIA OSTANOVSKAYA
Julia: The word BEACH inspired me to create this layout of a great Summer holiday memory by the sea. Children are definitely the best part of our lives and we always want to keep the most memorable moments alive in our hearts. This time that we spent at the beach, I was able to take this gorgeous photo to make the moment last. For the creative challenge I added some SEASHELLS and many other sea elements.

Julia's layout is stunning, and no doubt, thanks to the fact that she used many of the Sand and Sea Layered Embellishments to decorate it. These plastic stickers are perfect to bring layering and depth to any page. And of course, all 49 and Market flowers are a must have! On this page we see the Vintage Shades Botanical Blends - Sage, Botanical Blends - Navy and Vintage Shades Cluster - Yellow.

PASCALE B

Pascale: When I saw this challenge, I immediately thought of the Coral BEACH that I visited last month in Ireland. It is a small beach where the sand is made of tiny pieces of coral. I have even added some coral bits on my layout along with real SEASHELLS for the creative challenge.

The beautiful papers that Pascale used for this page come from the Captured Adventures line, the 12x12 as well as the coordinating 6x6 version. 49 and Market has a vast product line including many wonderful stamp sets, some of which have been designed by Pascale herself. On this page, she used
the Tickets and Numbers and the Formula stamp sets.

TINA OLLETT
Tina: The word BEACH brings much inspiration since we live in Sunny Queensland and our weekends often consist of a trip to the beach. The beach brings about a sense of freedom and relaxation. It is also the time when I take copious amounts of photos and long walks along the shoreline collecting pieces to help embellish those 'beachy' pages that I create. I have used a photo of my son fishing for the first time many years ago. I included in the layout cheesecloth representing the water and waves along with a handful of SEASHELLS found at one of our favorite holiday spots.

Take a closer look at the gorgeous flowers that Tina used on her wonderful page. These sets are called Garden Seeds - Cotton and Seaside Blooms - Sandcastle.

And just because we cannot get enough of their stunning paper collections,
here are a few more from up close and personal.

With delicate attention to details and a soft vintage feel,
Pion Design offers some of the best paper collections
in the industry and today we have a few of their fabulous designers
showcasing their products, inspired by our June Main Challenge

CATHRINE SANDVIK
Cathrine: I'm so lucky to be a part of the Pion Design team, and I realized that one of their new collections is called The World Awaits. This collection is all about traveling and exploring. The images and papers are perfect for this challenge. I used an image from one of Pion's many sepia toned pictures. This little boy is on his own JOURNEY, and for that journey he needs a MAP to guide him through life. To incorporate the creative challenge, I used patterned paper with a map design.

We absolutely love Cathrine's page and, like her, think that The World Awaits collection couldn't be any more perfect for our June challenge
In Pion Design's own words, this gorgeous collection will
'awaken your inner wanderlust while you relive the memories
from your last vacation.' We couldn't have said it any better!

EWA MROZOWSKA
Ewa: I really like this challenge. The word JOURNEY inspired me to create this canvas of a man who loves to travel. For my canvas, I used several papers from Pion Design. The World Awaits collection has so many things going on on every single patterned paper, including lots of travel theme and of course a MAP design. It was a great pleasure for me to have creative fun on this exact topic.

Ewa wonderfully captured the essence of our challenge with her mixed
media canvas using these beautiful papers from The World Awaits.
To match each of their paper collections, Pion Design also has a large pick of coordinating Palette papers in their repertoire.

TRACY PAYNE
Tracy: When thinking about the word JOURNEY, my mind wandered to my dad. He was a soldier in World War II, and this was the only time that he traveled ever in his entire life. He visited Singapore, India and beyond. Once he returned from the war, he never set foot back on a plane. My inspiration from the creative challenge was to include a MAP of the world in recognition of the only journey my dad took in his lifetime.

As her fellow DT members, Tracy used papers from The World Awaits collection to create her stunning canvas. Another must-have products that Pion Design offers lovely vintage cut-outs perfect for any project.

ANNE-KRISTINE HOLT
Anne-Kristine: The word JOURNEY inspired me to create a layout from our vacation in 2017 using the Pion Design collection Seaside Stories. We had some truly amazing days together as a family. The picture shows my granddaughter and some of the treasures she found on a stroll along the beach. I added some MAP pattern in the paper layers behind this special photo.

Take a closer look at the papers Anne-Kristine used on her beautiful layout
along with several more of our faves from the Pion Design catalogue:

Since its debut, Maja Design has quickly become known for their gorgeous paper collections, and we will showcase just a few of them in this post
through the stunning work of 5 very talented Maja Design designers
who were inspired by our May Main Challenge

KERSTIN-INGA PETERS
Kerstin-Inga: Inspired by the May challenge, I created a vintage layout with the title 'Make the Time'. I used a very old photo from my ancestors, a beautiful MEMORY for our family. I feel like it's always a good idea to create with FRAMES on scrapbooking layouts. I added a printed chipboard frame in the lower right corner with a very wise saying in it. The second frame around the photo was made with cutting dies and old crafty paper in a weathered look.

Kerstin-Inga used papers from the latest Maja Design collection Celebration which she found very suitable for her precious family photo of a very special day to celebrate from so many years ago.

AMY VOORTHUIS
Amy: The word MEMORIES wasn't hard for me to use because I love it so much and I use it very often on projects. I took some older pictures of my son and me during our wonderful trip to Spain back in 2010. I added the lovely saying 'Leave footprints; Take only memories.' I incorporated 4 different FRAMES by The Dusty Attic and I used the Denim & Friends collection by Maja Design.

Take a look at the fabulous Denim & Friends line filled with beautiful blues!

MAJA NOWAK
Maja: For me the word MEMORIES represents that unique human ability to (figuratively) go back in time and live past moments again. Memories are also a 'spiritus movens' to scrapbooking, because preserving special moments in an artistic form is the essence of our hobby. Not all memories are always welcome of course, but some are particularly precious, and I chose that phrase to be the title of my layout. As for the creative challenge, I randomly picked some chipboard FRAMES from my stash and arranged them to mat and mount my photo.

Maja Design not only offers patterned paper collections; they also offer plain papers to coordinate with their patterns. On her layout above, Maja used some of these solid colour papers from the Monochromes: Shades of Denim line:

LENET MOS
Lenet: I got inspired by the word MEMORIES because like most parents I have many beautiful memories of my kids, and I especially love this photo. My son has autism and at this age he did not really like physical contact and hugging, so this is a very precious memory that deserved to be framed. And speaking of FRAMES, I used a few of them, big and small, on my page to incorporate the creative challenge.

Both Lenet and Pascal below created their beautiful layouts using papers from the very soft and sweet Vintage Summer Basics collection.

PASCALE B
Pascale: When I saw the word MEMORIES, I just had to take out the box where I keep my family's photos, but that was the easiest part. The hard part was to find the one that I wanted to use on this project. I finally chose this photo of my mother when she was just 19 months old. For the creative challenge, I added a large chipboard piece made of interlocking FRAMES.

We love Maja Design papers so much that we couldn't leave you without sharing a few more of our favorite collections that we know you will also love!
