September 2018 Main Challenge
SUNSHINE & YELLOW

September is here, and for some in the Northern hemisphere,
it means the imminent end of Summer and for others in the South,
it means that Summer is just a few months away.

Wherever you are, we are absolutely sure that you will love this brand
new challenge up for reveal today!

Our Main Challenge is based on a word inspiration and a creative challenge.

Word Inspiration - SUNSHINE
Creative Challenge - YELLOW

What does the word SUNSHINE inspire you to create?
You can choose to use the actual word somewhere on your project
or simply be inspired by it.  Since words are an integral part of our challenges, we want to know how this month's word stimulated your creative process, so please do explain in your blog post how
it inspired you if it isn't obvious in your work.

We're challenging you to pour some sunshine onto your project by adding YELLOW this month! Yellow is associated with joy, happiness, intellect and energy. You can use it in any way you like and you can combine it with any other colour. You can go bright and bold or, if your prefer, you can go mellow with your yellow. We don't mind how you use it,
as long as we can see it!

Please check out all our challenge rules in the RULES tab above.

Now let's see what our fabulous designers have come up with!

Sivan: SUNSHINE inspires me to think on the best and most beautiful days, those days that nothing but goodness happens when the weather is perfect, the mood is high and you feel motivated to do everything! This theme inspired me of course to use a lot of flowers and happy embellishments on my page. I also made a big YELLOW background that symbolizes for me those shiny days that I love so much.

Rosalie: I was inspired by the warming SUNSHINE coming through the window on a cold day. The vision of the YELLOW flowers outside on the window ledge led to a creation of bright floral yellows and oranges that had a warm, happy
and comforting cottage scene.

Daisy: For this challenge I was inspired by a picture of my niece because she is a little ray of SUNSHINE in my life. Being the only girl among my nephews, her arrival put a little sweetness in my heart. I used a YELLOW paper for my page background and I also used a yellow embellishment as well.

Aga: The sun is the main factor that gives me power in life. SUNSHINE gives me energy and with energy I can do anything! The colour YELLOW has the same effect on me. I used some yellow paint to highlight some areas of my art journal page.

Anat: For our SUNSHINE word inspiration I knew I had to use this picture of me, wearing YELLOW, and my sunshine enjoying a beautiful sunny day at the end of Autumn. I just love these days when the sun warms everything up and everything is bright again. I used a stencil with some yellow paste on my background
as well as some yellow blooms.

Martina: This month I created a soft coloured layout with a photo of my little miss SUNSHINE. I also used YELLOW flowers and butterflies.

Nicole: SUNSHINE to me means happiness, energy, positivity. We all need it to survive and thrive and we should all want to spread a little bit of it around, in our life and in others'. YELLOW is not my favorite colour to scrap in, but I really enjoyed this creative challenge as it took me out of my comfort zone. It also enabled me to use some lovely yellow flowers from my stash as well as this gorgeous photo taken in my mother-in-law's garden this Summer.

Asia: SUNSHINE brings a lot of happiness to me. I am definitely a sun person. I love when it's warm and I can enjoy the rays of sunshine on my skin. I had no second thoughts while making this canvas. YELLOW, definitely not my favorite colour, had to come with the sun motif. I look at it and I am instantly happy!

Anguree: I was very inspired by the sunflower image in the challenge board. They reminded me of this beautiful day that two of my friends and myself spent a day outside for a photoshoot to celebrate our friendship and collect memories of the time we have together. SUNSHINE and happiness truly marked the day's adventure. I used a lot of YELLOW on my background to incorporate the creative challenge.

Caroline: For our SUNSHINE challenge I took a gorgeous picture of a relaxing moment at sunset. The sky is gorgeous and and the sun is giving out a beautiful light to the ocean view. I used a lot of YELLOW ink and a bit of
lemon paste over my background.

Janice: When I saw this month's challenge I was inspired to scrap this photo of my sweet little girl with her yellow plaster cast. It is not the best photo, but scrapping to me isn't always about having the perfect photo; it's about the memory. She is our little ray of SUNSHINE, always putting on a brave face and smiling even though at times it was hard having the plaster on and having to miss out on fun things. For the creative challenge I used YELLOW, yellow and more yellow. We hope you will play along and share your creations with us.

France: 'Mon rayon de soleil' in French means my ray of SUNSHINE. This is what the challenge inspired me to create. I love this picture of my friend's daughter; it is so radiant. You can see sunshine beaming down on her. I added YELLOW flowers, butterflies and paint on my page for the creative challenge.

Valerie: I was inspired by the creative challenge with the YELLOW acrylic paint. I created a sun on my background to represent the inspiration word SUNSHINE. I added the French words 'Détente sous le soleil'
which means 'Relaxing under the sun'.

Mary: Sunshine and yellow is such a perfect combination to me. Even though I don't use very often the colour YELLOW on my projects, I can say that it's one of my favourites. For the word inspiration, I used a stick with the word SUNSHINE on it.

Heike: This was the perfect challenge for this photo of my son Joshua. He is the happiest from our four children, always smiling, always happy go lucky... our little SUNSHINE! The YELLOW colour spray and ink on the background looks stunning with the black ink stamped sunflower. Have a beautiful day!

Torsa: SUNSHINE means to me happiness, joy, positivity and freedom. It's like embracing life and leaving all negativity behind! I have used the word in a quote and lots of bright YELLOW on my project.

Di: This month's challenge word inspired me to create my layout about this little ray of SUNSHINE, my granddaughter Mia. She truly is our ray of sunshine
and YELLOWS are just the perfect way of portraying this sentiment.

You will certainly agree with us that our designers have created
some brilliant SUNSHINY layouts inspired by this new challenge,
and we hope that you will be inspired to play along!
